Development Director

Greater Hells Canyon Council (GHCC) is seeking a skilled communicator and fundraiser to join our passionate team! GHCC is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to protecting, connecting, and restoring the wildlands and waters of the Greater Hells Canyon Region — one of the last great wild places in the lower 48 states. Our work spans Northeast Oregon, Southeast Washington, and North Central Idaho.

 

The Development Director will play a key role in growing GHCC’s capacity and impact. Responsibilities include leading our fundraising efforts, engaging with members and donors, organizing events, and driving communications to share our story and mission. This position requires a skilled connector and communicator with a commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusivity.

 

Key Details:

  • Compensation: $56,000–$66,000 annually, plus generous benefits, including health and vision insurance, flexible hours, and vacation time.

  • Location: Flexible within GHCC’s mission area, the Portland Metro, Central Oregon, or Boise, ID.

  • Start Date: April or May 2025.

  • Travel: Some travel required across the Northwest for events and meetings.

Stewardship Manager
Greater Hells Canyon Council (GHCC) is seeking a passionate restoration professional to join our team! GHCC is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to protecting, connecting, and restoring the wildlands and waters of the Greater Hells Canyon Region — one of the last great wild places in the lower 48 states. Our work spans Northeast Oregon, Southeast Washington, and North Central Idaho.

 

The Stewardship Manager will lead GHCC’s stewardship projects, with a focus on beaver coexistence and restoration efforts. Responsibilities include managing partnerships, organizing fieldwork and events, supporting habitat restoration projects, and collaborating with landowners to address beaver conflicts. This position requires a strong communicator and connector with experience in conservation, fieldwork, and coalition building.

 

Key Details

  • Compensation: $50,000–$60,000 annually, plus generous benefits, including health and vision insurance, flexible hours, and vacation time.

  • Location: Flexible within GHCC’s mission area in Northeast Oregon or Southeast Washington.

  • Start Date: April 2025.

  • Travel: Some travel required for fieldwork and events.
