About the event
Join GHCC and WMHCTA for 4 days of maintenance on the Blue Mountains Trail (trail # 1774) between historic Dug Bar and Summit Ridge. The trip will depart from Joseph on the morning of Tuesday the 20th. Carpooling will be available. We will plan to backpack in 2.5 miles to camp at Dug Creek, then work up to the ridge and back toward Dug Bar. Tools and safety equipment will be provided.
Participation requires a trivial membership fee to our partners, the Wallowa Mountains Hells Canyon Trails Association ($1/day).
For those interested, the final day also coincides with GHCC's botany outing in the nearby Imnaha canyon. Stay out an extra night and help volunteers and USFS botanists survey and weed around a population of the rare and endemic Mcfarlane's 4 O'clock. It'll be fun!
